Vehicle tires slashed

Coplay police on Sunday were called to the unit block of South Fourth Street to investigate a report of damage to a vehicle.

Police on arriving at the scene found two tires slashed on a neighbor's vehicle. The owner of the vehicle was not available at the time of the report, police stated.

The neighbor informed police he observed two tires slashed on his neighbor's vehicle while it was parked in front of his home.

Police respond to suspicious vehicle

Responding to the unit block of North Seventh Street Saturday afternoon, borough police were informed of a suspicious vehicle.

Described as a white box truck, police said the driver was sitting inside the vehicle looking for homes.

The patrol officer determined the man was a contractor waiting for a resident to return so he could begin work.

Report of loitering

Police on Friday evening were summoned to the Coplay Parkway parking lot off North Chestnut Street on concerns from the caller of three individuals sitting in the lot for a long period of time. Police on arriving at the scene found the occupants waiting for a friend.

Police told the persons the park has a 9 p.m. curfew. The individuals were sent on their way.
