St. Andrew's to sell cookies

You can cross baking off your holiday to-do list and leave the baking to the kitchen staff at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. Volunteers there are baking kiffles, Italian cookies, Moravia sugar cakes and chocolate babka and preparing chocolate-covered cherries.

On Saturday, Dec. 22, just in time for Christmas, it all goes on sale, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the church, located at 1900 E. Pennsylvania Ave., between Allentown and Bethlehem, 1/4 mile south of Catasauqua Road.

The sale continues on Sunday, Dec. 23, 9 a.m. to noon.

Proceeds will benefit the church's ministries to the hungry and the homeless.

The church is the home of the Pennsylvania Avenue Interfaith Food Pantry and is one of the host sites for the Bethlehem Emergency Sheltering Program during the winter months.

Call 610-865-3603 or go to www.standrewsbethlehem.org for information about the church and its programs.
