Catasauqua Woman's club to meet Jan. 17

The Woman's Club of Catasauqua will hold their first meeting of the New Year on Thursday, Jan. 17 at noon at the Old Country Buffet in Whitehall. Each member is to bring an item for the Catasauqua Food Pantry. There will be a chance to win a gift certificate. All donations are appreciated.


The Catasauqua Thrift Shop was closed the week between Christmas and New Year, but is now open with beautiful clothing for the entire family.

Stop by at 113 Bridge St. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Wednesday and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Donations of good, used clothing are accepted during store hours. Proceeds from the shop are returned to the Catasauqua community through contributions to youth and adult programs and services.


The first bingo of the New Year will be held at St. Mary's Parish Center, Second and Union streets, Catasauqua, Sunday, Jan. 13 starting at 1 p.m. The kitchen will be open at 11:30 a.m. for sit-in or takeout/take out. Bring along a friend for a delightful afternoon.

Cub Pack 94 is having a Family Fun Night on Friday, Jan. 18, at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 417 Howertown Road. Doors will open at 6:45 p.m. and the event will begin 7:15 p.m. Enjoy free games, buy a hot dog meal or snack and have a night of fun with family and friends while supporting the Cub pack.
