At Catty High Bangor fans had over 1,000 reasons to be happy about. Senior Morgan McCollian scored 13 points in the first quarter. the blonde-haired senior hit her 1,000 point with 2;36 to play in the first period. six seconds later Sammie Schnabel scored Catty's first two points of the game sinking two free throws. The Lady Slaters went on to win 44-20 last Thursday and Catty High got the word that Katie Buczynski, a junior power forward who could also run the point is lost for the year due to a concussion suffered in the Palisades game.

Maliah Livingston followed all her shots and finished with six Bangor points.

Samantha Schnabel got her four points on drives, using her body as her best weapon against the Slaters.

Bangor used skip passes effectively and quick transition plays. Senior selena contreras scored just before the end of the first quarter. BHS 20-CHS 6.

Janae Matos tried to drive through slaters and used her shoulder tosmartly pick up foul made one of two shots.

Senior center Schnabel grabbed two offensive boards but missed both shots.

Catty's Amarys Moten grabbed a defensive rebound then traveled. Moten got another board this time getting it to Matos who did a good job of running the point guard spot.

Coach Chad Werkheiser complemented the girls "great job on zone defense" then a steal by Matos.

Shiloh Sziy was doing a great job of cleaning up the glass grabbing nine rebounds to along with her five points.. Bangor went up 27-7 at intermission

Catty had some bright spots Selena Reiss proved she could throw good bounces to Janae Matos who led Catty with seven points

Amarys Moten finished with six boards and two points. Schnabel pulled down three rebounds. Abigail Preletz had one.
