Bus trip to be hosted by Young at Heart

St. Andrew's Young at Heart will be hosting a casino bus trip to Hollywood Casino near Hershey on Friday, Feb. 22. The bus will leave at 10 a.m. For availability and cost, call Bill Molchany at 610-264-0920.

The regular monthly Young at Heart meeting is Wednesday, Feb. 27, in the St. Andrews Catholic Church social hall at 1 p.m. From the parking lot in the rear of the church, enter through the side door. I hear they always have a fun time.

Dues are being collected at this time to bring membership up to date. New members are always welcome.

The Suburban North YMCA is planning a few upcoming special events.

· Vendors are wanted for the annual spring craft fair, Saturday, March 23. Tables are available for a fee per 8-foot table. Also on the 23rd, the Y will host a "Scrambled Eggs at the Y" Easter Egg Hunt for children up to 6 years of age.

· The Y is collaborating with LVHN and sponsoring The Passion for Health Program on Thursday, Feb. 21, at 11:30 a.m. at the Y. The guest speaker will be Dr. Sanjay Mehta, M.D., a cardiothoracic surgeon. A heart healthy light lunch will be served. There is no fee for this educational event.

· The Y is taking registrations for seventh- and eighth-grade girls field hockey, a sports sampler program for children in grades 2-4, and basketball programs for toddlers, preschoolers, kindergartners and first-graders. The Catasauqua Thrift Shop, 113 Bridge St., Catasauqua, will have a half-price sale on adult clothing, shoes and accessories through Saturday, Feb. 16. Proceeds from the shop are returned to the Catasauqua community through contributions to youth and adult programs and services.
