N. Catty school memorabilia sought

The North Catasauqua Betterment Committee is still looking for old photos and memorabilia, such as report cards and school work, from the former North Catasauqua Grammar School to display at North Catasauqua Borough Hall. Photos may be scanned or photocopied at the borough office and returned to you right away. The items will be displayed an an open house observing the building's centennial. The Catasauqua Community Thrift Shop, 113 Bridge St., Catasauqua, is having a half-price sale through Aug. 17. The shop will close for housecleaning and changeover the week of Aug. 19 and will reopen Aug. 26 with new clothing for fall and winter.

Proceeds from the thrift shop are returned to the community through contributions that support youth and adult programs and services. Donations of good used clean clothing are accepted during store operation hours,10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
