Darryl "Skip" R. Laub, 73, of Northampton, died March 7, 2014, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg Campus, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Jane (Tracy) Laub for 54 years.

Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late Roy and Mildred (Hallman) Laub.

He was a SP4 in the U.S. Army from 1958 until 1962.

He was a Northampton High School graduate.

He was a security officer for Lehigh Valley Hospital Center, Allentown, for 25 years until retiring in 2006. Prior to that, he worked in the packhouse for 12 years at the former Atlas Cement Company, Northampton, until it closed in 1981.

He was a member of Grace U.C.C. Church, Northampton.

He was a member and past commander of Northampton V.F.W. Post #4714; a life member of Alliance Fire Company, Northampton; and a member of the Blue Mountain Fish and Game Association, Lehigh Township.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Scott of Fla. and Mark and his wife Deborah of Northampton; a sister, Marion Korutz of Macungie; six grandchildren; and a great–granddaughter.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Kim L. Loch.
