Russell H. Peters, 85, of Whitehall, died March 9, 2014, at Phoebe Home, Allentown. He was the husband of the late Lovey (Behney) Peters.

Born in Whitehall, he was a son of the late Thomas and Laura (Bowen) Peters.

He was in the Army Air Corps during World War II.

He was a truck driver for Economy Pretzels before retiring in 1985. Before that, he worked for the Emmaus Foundry.

He is survived by six sons, John and his wife Michele, of Whitehall, Ronald and his wife Terry, of North Carolina, Donald and his wife Mary of Whitehall, Rodney and his wife Judy of Catasauqua, Larry of Whitehall, and Glen and his wife Linda of Walnutport; seven daughters, Carol and her husband Francis Bilder of Whitehall, Beverly Kelley of Florida, Betty and her husband Edward Zimmerman of Whitehall, Lucy and her husband Gerald Vincent of Allentown, Debbie and her husband Virgil Roque of Whitehall, Bonnie Boyer of Whitehall, and Cindy and her husband Rich Nederostek of Whitehall; 32 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by two sons, Russell R. Peters and Kevin Peters; a daughter, Patricia Peters; a grandson, Rusty; and five sisters.
