Sister Cities celebration approaches

The borough's Sister Cities celebration will be held Saturday, Sept. 6, 1-5 p.m., at Municipal Park, Smith Lane and Laubach Avenue.

Joe Weber will perform.


The Northampton Liederkranz is looking for male and female bowlers to join established leagues as well as those looking to form a new league.

The Atlas Cement Company Memorial Museum will be open Sunday, Aug. 24, 1-3 p.m.

Located at 1401 Laubach Ave., the museum will remain open each second and fourth Sunday of the month through September.


Holy Trinity Nursery School, 1235 Main St., has a limited number of openings for the 2014-15 school year.

The 2-year-old playgroup class, which meets Mondays and Wednesdays, 9:30-11 a.m., is currently filled. A waiting list has been started.

The 3-year-old class meets Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9-11:30 a.m. Class size is limited to 16 children who need to be toilet trained.

The 4-year-old class meets Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 12:15-2:45 p.m. Class size is limited to 16 children who need to be toilet trained.

Children must turn the appropriate age for the class by Sept. 1, 2014.

An open house for those children already registered will be held Monday, Aug. 25.

The 2-year-old playgroup class will meet 6:30-7:30 p.m. The 3- and 4-year-old classes will meet 7:30-8:30 p.m.
