"Grimm!" retelling: The Doppelskope Theatre Company's world premiere children's musical, "Grimm!," continues at Muhlenberg Summer Music Theatre (MSMT), through July 25, Studio Theater, Trexler Pavilion for Theatre and Dance, Muhlenberg College, Allentown. The hour-long show brings puppetry, music and interactivity to classic fairy tales as they've never been told before. Brothers Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm use their Story Machine to capture daydreams and make them into fairy tales. Everything goes awry when the machine breaks, releasing colorful, fuzzy stories into the world. It's up to the audience to help the brothers rescue the stories and keep them from unraveling. Doppelskope, with director Ora Fruchter, who co-wrote the musical with her Doppelskope partner, Christopher Sheer, with music by Toby Singer and lyrics by Fruchter, created last year's MSMT world-premiere children's musical "Gruff!" After the show, children may meet the cast and participate in a 45-minute workshop. The show is recommended for ages four and up. Tickets: muhlenberg.edu, 484-664-3087
