Applicants must be 18 years old or older — usually high school graduates and college students fit the bill.

The area on North Front Street and into South Front Street will be continued for a three-block stretch in the coming months.
Then there is the work of storm sewer upgrades underway on Hokendauqua Street, which is a joint project with Whitehall Township, since the road borders both municipalities. The paving project set for late summer will have the road repaved from Second to Seventh streets.
Responding to several inquiries, bicycles are not required a bike license and inspection by borough police, a practice discontinued several years ago. The program was geared for youngsters. However, if parents want their son or daughter’s bike inspected, the police will do so.
