Northampton: Last call for crabcakes at Grace UCC

Grace United Church of Christ, 902 Lincoln Ave., will hold a Lenten crabcake dinner 5-7 p.m. March 31. Chicken finger dinners also are available.

There is a cost.

Take-outs can be purchased.

St Paul’s United Church of Christ, 19th Street and Lincoln Avenue, will hold a spaghetti dinner, 4-7 p.m. April 1.

The fundraiser benefits Boy Scout Troop 93.

There is a cost; however, those age 6 and under eat for free.


Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4714 will host a performance by Tommy Zito 7-10 p.m. April 8 at the Post home, Main Street and Laubach Avenue.

A Cinco de Mayo party, with music by Friends of Tom, is planned for 7:30 p.m. May 6.

The VFW hosts a polka and button box event 7:30-10:30 p.m. every Friday at the Post home.

Also, the VFW social hall is now accepting new members for 2017. Membership is open to the public.

A spaghetti dinner for the Autism Speaks walk and “To Alpha Centauri and Back” team will be held 4-7 p.m. April 9 at the The Gin Mill & Grille, 1750 Main St.

The cost of a ticket includes the meal and entertainment. Drinks are not included.

Tickets will be sold at the door.

All proceeds will benefit the Lehigh Valley Walk for Autism Speaks. The dinner is hosted by Jonah and his team, “To Alpha Centauri and Back.”


Northampton Area Food Bank will hold a general meeting April 25 in the social hall of Queenship of Mary Catholic Church, 1324 Newport Ave.

Dinner will be served 6-7 p.m. Hot dogs, barbecue and drinks will be provided.

Covered dishes and desserts are welcome.

The business meeting begins 7 p.m.

If you want to know more about the food bank, are interested in volunteering or are currently volunteering there, you are asked to attend.

Area churches and businesses are encouraged to have members and employees attend as well.
