Chicken paprikas is on the menu April 30

St. John Fisher Catholic Church will be holding a chicken paprikas dinner 4-7 p.m. April 30.

On the menu will be the chicken, rice or noodles, salad, green beans, a beverage and dessert.

Children under the age of 5 eat free. There is a reduced price for advance ticket sales.

Advance tickets are available after Masses at the church the next two weekends or by calling either Fred Hutterer at 610-264-1439 or Peggy McCarty at 610-264-0307.

The church is located at 1229 Third St.


Porter Lodge 284 Free and Accepted Masons, located at 1103 Sixth St., will host “Moolah Bingo,” featuring cash prizes, April 30.

The doors open 1 p.m. with the games beginning 3 p.m.

The kitchen will be open starting 1 p.m., with a full lunch menu, including pulled pork and hot dogs.

A Chinese auction will support a fraternal assistance program.

Advanced reservations are encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome.

Catty Seniors Plus will be meeting April 26 at The Jednota Slovak Center.

Doors will open noon, and the meeting begins 1 p.m.

After a brief meeting, a lunch will be served. This meeting is for members only. A fun afternoon is planned, ending with bingo.

On April 25, the group will be sponsoring a trip to American Music Theater to see “The Magic of Vegas” show, with lunch at Shady Maple.

On April 28, a trip to Mohegan Sun Casino is planned.
