North Catasauqua: Lions plan bingo at Jednota
Catasauqua Lions Club is having a bingo May 21 at Jednota Slovak Social Club, Fifth and Grove streets, North Catasauqua. Doors open noon. Tickets include bingo and lunch.

All the proceeds will be used for eyeglasses for the needy, a senior dinner at Christmastime, shopping for children, a bingo at Catasauqua Towers, youth leadership camp and more.
Catasauqua Seniors Plus will meet May 24 at Jednota Slovak Center. Doors open noon, and the meeting begins 1 p.m.
Members have decided they would like to bring a item for Catasauqua Food Bank each month, giving back to their community.
The speaker this month will be Kim Garrison, vice president of Aging in Place, presenting on foods for a healthy brain and the early signs of dementia. After the presentation, dessert will be served, and bingo will be played.

The seventh annual North Catasauqua community yard sale and flea market will be held 8 a.m.-2 p.m. June 10 at North Catasauqua Park, 701 Grove St.
Ten-foot-by-10-foot spaces are available for a cost. You must bring your own table. Set-up is 6:30-7:30 a.m., and departure is by 3 p.m. Deadline to sign up for a spot is June 8.
Breakfast and lunch will be available for purchase.

The 11th annual North Catasauqua Small Town USA carnival takes place June 13-17 at North Catasauqua Park.
There will be live music nightly, rides, games, raffles and food.
Four-day/multi-day wristbands are available for a cost at the borough hall prior to the start of the carnival.
Special family nights are Thursday and Saturday.
