Robert C. Halal
Robert “Bobby” C. Halal, 52, of Whitehall, died June 5, 2017, at home. He was the husband of Denise M. (DeCray) Halal for nine years.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of Stella J. (Gresser) Halal and of the late Charles P. Halal, who died in 2012.
He was a 1982 graduate of Whitehall High School.
He was a magisterial district judge in Whitehall since 2007. He was a former longtime state constable.
He was a member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Northampton.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a daughter, J’Nan and her husband William Tierney; a son, Brian Gaumer Jr.; two grandchildren, Ellie and Liam; mother-in-law, Margaret DeCray; three brothers-in-law, William and his wife Fran DeCray, Richard DeCray and John and his wife Joanne DeCray; a godson, Paul Geremia; nephews; cousins; and extended family.
He was predeceased by his father-in-law, William W. DeCray Jr.
A casual reception to celebrate his life will be held 6-9 p.m. June 10 at Egypt Memorial Park, 4548 Main St., Whitehall.
