Catasauqua: Thrift shop holds clothing sale

Wednesday, July 19, 2017 by The Press in Columns

The Catasauqua Thrift Shop, 113 Bridge St., is having a half-price sale on all clothing July 24-29.

Donations of good, used, clean clothing are gratefully accepting during store operation hours, which are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday and Saturday.

Proceeds from the shop are returned to the community through contributions that support youth and adult programs and services.

Historic Catasauqua Preservation Association’s next historic walking tour will be in the upper historic mansion district 5-7 p.m. July 30. Meet 5 p.m. at the corner of Fourth and Bridge streets for the tour.

After the tour, refreshments will be served in the gardens at 326 Bridge St.

The price includes your tour and refreshments.

Call Deb at 610-231-0603 for the cost and reservations. Accepted payments are cash, check (made out to HCPA) or credit card via Square.

Please note: Biery House’s open house scheduled for Aug. 6 has been canceled. The Bryden horse shoe program scheduled for that date has been rescheduled for 1-4 p.m. Nov. 5 and 7 p.m. Nov. 14.

For more information, call Deb at 610-231-0603.

Also, the Biery’s Port blacksmiths and leather works shops have been closed for a year. An error was made in this column last week announcing dates that it was open.

My email address is if there is any information you would like published in this column. Thanks, and have a great week!
