Catasauqua police responded to these and other calls recently.

AUG. 4

On Covington Place, officers responded to a report of missing electronic items.

At American Amarian Syrian Society, 521 Front St., police responded to a noise complaint.

At Hartzell’s Pharmacy, 300 American St., a theft from a vehicle occurred. Police said a handicapped placard was stolen.

AUG. 5

A dog at large at Sheckler Elementary School, 201 N. 14th St., was reported. The owner was located.

In the 600 block of Kurtz Street, loud music was turned down when police investigated a noise complaint.

AUG. 6

An unwanted person at Whittier Place Apartments, 895 Walnut St., was reported. Police advised the individual to leave the area.

Officers assisted North Catasauqua police in the 1100 block of Seventh Street.

Persons sleeping on a bench on West Race Street were reported to the department.

In the 200 block of Church Street, police conducted a welfare check.

A traffic stop was conducted in the 600 block of Third Street. The operator was cited.

On Front Street, officers conducted a welfare check.

A dispute between a husband and wife occurred on South 10th Street.

At Sunnyside Coin Laundry, 411 Front St., a dog bite was reported to police.

AUG. 7

In the 800 block of Front Street, police responded to a report of a loose dog.

On Second Street, officers responded to a report of a disabled vehicle.

The theft of down spouts in the 300 block of Bridge Street brought out police to investigate.

A parking complaint in the 200 block of Wood Street was reported.

AUG. 8

A dispute between a boyfriend and girlfriend in the 700 block of Front Street occurred.

Police sought information on Race Street regarding a problem with railroad crossing gates.

Police said copper spouting was stolen in the 300 block of Bridge Street.

A dispute in the 700 block of Front Street brought officers to the scene.

A sinkhole in a back yard in the 200 block of Edward Lane was reported.

Officers investigated a custody dispute on Faith Drive.

An abandoned vehicle was tagged on Second Street.

The theft of porch chairs in the 800 block of Race Street was reported.

Police responded to the hazardous condition of a diesel fuel spill on Front Street.

A suspicious male in a vehicle on Third Street was reported.

The department is investigating a report of fraud in the 300 block of American Street.

Suspicious activity on Railroad Street brought out police.

AUG. 9

On Cambridge Place, officers investigated a report of a suspicious phone call.

A dispute between a boyfriend and girlfriend occurred in the 300 block of Church Street.

Officers assisted a citizen who fell in the 700 block of Limestone Street.

In the 600 block of Limestone Street, police sought information regarding a harassment case.

In the 100 block of Main Street, officers investigated a report of identity fraud.

Jewelry taken in the 700 block of Fourth Street was reported to the department.

Officers assisted the Lehigh County Sheriff’s Department in the 100 block of Walnut Street.

AUG. 10

Police assisted Pennsylvania State Police-Fogelsville at the department, 90 Bridge St.

An individual banging on a door in the 700 block of Front Street was reported to police.

In the 200 block of Main Street, a vehicle window was smashed.

A hit and run occurred in the 500 block of Kurtz Street.

Officers responded to a report of copper downspouts taken in the 300 block of Bridge Street.

Police investigated a report of copper downspouts stolen in the 500 block of Howertown Road.

Jeanine Snyder, 38, of Catasauqua, was cited on animal-related offenses: two dogs running at large and having 105 household pets.

A parking ticket was issued on Second Street.

In the 500 block of Pine Street, police responded to an animal complaint.

In the 400 block of Second Street, police investigated a report of debit card fraud.

AUG. 11

Members of the department sought custody information in the 400 block of Howertown Road.

In the 300 block of High Street, police sought information regarding an eviction.

Police sought information regarding a repossessed vehicle on 11th Street.

A dispute between a boyfriend and girlfriend in the 300 block of Liberty Street brought out police.

On Lehigh Street, a gas can was removed from the roadway, police said.

A child abuse case in the 600 block of Bath Avenue was referred to Lehigh County Children and Youth.

A domestic dispute occurred in the 200 block of Second Street.

At Apartments for the Elderly, 118 Bridge St., officers investigated a noise complaint.

At Limestone and Church streets, police responded to a parking complaint.

AUG. 12

A loose dog on 12th Street was picked up by The Sanctuary of Haafsville.

A hit and run occurred on Front Street. The investigation is continuing, police said.

AUG. 13

A bicycle was stolen from the 700 block of Crane Street. It was later recovered.

In the 300 block of Race Street, a water leak brought police to the scene. Public works was notified.

On Union Street, a bicycle was found.
