Millard A. Kemmerer Jr.
Millard “Sonny” A. Kemmerer Jr., 85, of Whitehall, died Sept. 8, 2017, at VNA Hospice House at St. Luke’s, Lower Saucon Township. He was the husband of Annie M. (Marino) Kemmerer for 57 years.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Millard A. Sr. and Evelyn (Beck) Kemmerer.
He was a truck driver for the former Van Brundt and Son Trucking Company, Fogelsville, for 32 years.
He was a corporal in the U.S. Army and a veteran of the Korean War.
He was a member of St. Vladimir’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, Palmerton, where he was an usher and pyrohy maker volunteer.
He was Local 773 teamsters steward.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Suzanne Parry and her fiance Mark Millheim of Coplay; a son, Peter A. and his wife Denise of Pottstown; four grandchildren, Shelley, Todd, Aaron and Brianna; a great-grandson, Murray; four sisters, Betty Jane, Jackie, Evelyn and Nancy; nieces; and nephews.
He was predeceased by three sisters, Gloria, Jean and Peggy; and a brother, Arthur.
There will be a calling hour 11 a.m.-noon Sept. 14 at the funeral home, 525 Delaware Ave., Palmerton, followed by a divine liturgy 12:30 p.m. at the church, 106 Delaware Ave., Palmerton, 18071.
