The Catasauqua volleyball team picked up a win against Palmerton.

The team dropped the first two games 25-20 and 26-24 but rallied to win the next three by scores of 25-23, 25-19 and 15-8.

The Roughs dropped games to Tamaqua 25-12, 25-17 and 25-2.

Kaitlyn Stauffenberg had five aces, five kills and 15 assists to lead the way.

Salem Christian won over Catty in three sets: 25-14, 25-15, 25-15.

Catty fell to Notre Dame Green Pond 25-10, 25-11, 25-16.

In boys soccer, the Roughs lost to Notre Dame Green Pond 2-0.

The girls soccer team fell behind 3-1 to Notre Dame Green Pond before falling 4-1.

The Crusaders scored three goals in the first half. Catty had its only goal in the first half thanks to Lexi Rushatz, who took a nice cross from Kassidy Gruver for the assist.

The Catty field hockey team got a win over Palisades.

After a Pirate goal from Elora Mitchell in the first half, Catty would tie the game in the second half thanks to a goal from Tyra Brown and as assist from Kenzie Bradley.

The Roughs would need overtime for the victory when Tyza Klotz scored unassisted for the victory at 12:26.

Southern Lehigh won 9-0 over Catty in another recent game.

Meghan Reese scored three goals while Anna Donato added two.

Moravian Academy defeated Catasauqua 5-0 and improved to 12-2.

Cassie Romanczuk scored three goals in the first half to lead the way.Two of the goals assisted by Rebecca Donahue and Ellie Werner.

Catasauqua keeper Hannah Greenberg had 18 saves.

Last week, the cross country team competed at Salisbury.

Montana Muller led the way for Catty taking 34th in the girls race with a time of 25:10.10. Makena Webber was 43rd with a time of 26:41.6

Sophie Doman of Palisades won the race with a time of 19:56.50. Notre Dame’s Grace Medei was second in 20:09.20.

Other Catty finishers were: Priscilla Schaller 56th 28:13.2; Bree Sheldon 57th 28:35.7; Alexis Sheldon 66th 34:22.10; Alexia Reichl 67th 34:30.3; Bethanie DeLucia 68th 34:33.0; Hannah Lewis 69th 35:28.3.

The boys were led by Bradshaw Henning who took 39th with a time of 20:20.5. Jordy Leon was 51st in 21:14.2 and Jason Schneck was 52nd in 21:22.4.
