North Catasauqua: Catty Seniors Plus schedules Halloween luncheon, meeting

A Halloween luncheon is planned for the Oct. 25 Catty Seniors Plus meeting, which meets 1 p.m. at the Slovak Center Social Club, 1223 Fifth St. Members will be served a light lunch and dessert, supplied by Traditions of Hanover.

Aging in Place’s Marisa Leaser will present “Home Sweet Home Care.”

Everyone is asked to bring an item for Catasauqua Community Food Bank.

The Oct. 27 trip to Mohegan Sun Casino is fully booked. If you are interested in being on a substitute list, call Nancy Matika at 610-360-6543. If seats become available, you will be contacted.

Plans are in the works for 2018 dinner show bus trips.

Trick-or-treat night is a Friday this year. It’s set for 6-8 p.m. Oct. 27.

If you want children to knock on your door, don’t forget to turn on your porch light.

The Porter Lodge, 1103 Sixth St., will host a cash bingo fundraiser 3 p.m. Oct. 29. The doors will open 1 p.m., and the public is invited to arrive early enough to purchase some Grumpy Roadhouse food items from the kitchen.

Proceeds will benefit community and fraternal activities.

There are still a few seats on the bus for the Christmas show Dec. 12 at Hunterdon Hills Playhouse, Hampton N.J.
