Elementary school: Sheckler students pick pumpkins
The great pumpkin patch at Sheckler Elementary School grew for the day once again. Kindergarten students got to come outside to travel through the patch and select their own pumpkin Oct. 20.
A great big shout-out to all who continue to make this event possible for the kindergarten students of Sheckler.
A special thank you to the students from Catasauqua High School who came to read to the students during guest reader day at Sheckler.
Reminder: Sheckler students will be marching in their annual Halloween parade Oct. 27. The parade will begin 1:30 p.m.
If your child entered the annual Sheckler pumpkin-decorating contest, remember to pick up your pumpkin at the end of the day Oct. 27. Any pumpkins remaining at the end of the day will be discarded.
In this column next week, I will have a posting of the winners, so be sure to stay tuned!
Trick or treat in Catasauqua will take place 6-8 p.m. Oct. 27. Have a spooky good time, and stay safe.
