Do not forget 6:30 p.m. tonight, Nov. 30, is the Christmas tree lighting and arrival of Santa at the borough hall.

The American Club of Coplay, 300 Cherry St., will host a fundraiser for Andy Svrcek Dec. 1. Doors open 5:15 p.m.

Svrcek is an Elvis tribute artist who has performed numerous times at Coplay events. He was diagnosed with stage 3 esophageal cancer in May of this year, and all proceeds after expenses will benefit him and his wife Kayla.

The special guest will be the award-winning Patsy Cline tribute artist Cathi Rhodes from Pittsburgh. For more information, call 610-261-2884.

Coplay Senior Citizens’ annual Christmas party will be held noon-3:30 p.m. Dec. 2 at Commitment to Family & Community, 165 Cherry St.

If you have any questions, call Dale Simon at 610-262-5464.

The Be Their Voice annual basket social and vendor fair will be held 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Dec. 3 at the American Club of Coplay pavilion, 300 Cherry St.

Be Their Voice is a Northampton-based organization consisting of volunteers promoting animal awareness and welfare through advocacy, protection and education.

For more information, call 610-261-2884.

Remember to get out and vote Dec. 5 in the special election for the state representative seat made vacant by the sudden passing of Dan McNeill, who represented Coplay and the 133rd Legislative District. Polls will be open 7 a.m.-8 p.m.

Our prayers are with Al Recker for a speedy recovery and return home. Until then, I can be reached at 484-896-0514 for all your Coplay news and events.

Stay safe, and have a great week.
