North Catasauqua: Area residents invited to Lions Club’s holiday meal Saturday
Seniors who reside in North Catasauqua and Catasauqua or who belong to a church or organization in North Catasauqua or Catasauqua are invited to the 29th annual Lions Club holiday meal 11:45 a.m. Dec. 2 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 417 Howertown Road, Catasauqua.
The meal is free, but reservations are required.

Holy Trinity Orthodox Catholic Church is taking orders for kiffles and kielbasa for Christmas. There is a cost.
Order nut, apricot, raspberry and lekvar kiffles and rings of kielbasa. Call 215-407-7336 to place an order and for cost information.
The deadline for orders is Dec. 8. Pick up items at the church, 1023 Fifth St., 4-6 p.m. Dec. 14.
It’s time to get ready for the 11th annual North Catasauqua small Town USA holiday home-decorating contest, sponsored by the North Catasauqua Betterment Committee. Prizes will be awarded for best large and small residences and for second- and third-place winners.
Entry is free. Enter your home, a neighbor’s home or your favorite small Town USA holiday display. All winners and participants will have their home listed as part of the 2017 small Town USA holiday lights self tour.
The entry deadline is 4 p.m. Dec. 13. Judging will take place that day, weather permitting. Entry forms are available at North Catasauqua Borough Hall or by emailing NCataCentennial@aol.com.
