Alois A. Holencik
Alois A. Holencik, 84, of Coplay, died Nov. 27, 2017, at his residence. He was the husband of the late Rose M. (Sommer) Holencik.
Born in Egypt, he was a son of the late Adam J. and Frances (Prevoznik) Holencik.
He was in the U.S. Marines during the Korean War.
He was self-employed in the fur trade and the scrap metal business for many years. He was a lifetime member of the Pennsylvania Trappers and the National Trappers Association.
He was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, Coplay.
He is survived by two sons, Mark “Lefty” and his wife Betsy of Coplay and Eric of Oregon; three daughters, Jill and her husband Kenneth Martin of Florida, Susan and her husband Harold Sell of Whitehall and Laura Holencik of Coplay; a brother, Stephen; two sisters, Sophie and her husband Charles Pradel and Veronica Robinson; 12 grandchildren, Jesse, Adam, Casey, Erica, Kelly, Jamie, Myles, Adrienne, Jacob, Amanda, Quincy and Nyla; and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Ruth Wuchter; two brothers, Adam and Joseph; and three sisters, Mary, Anna and Aloyzina.
