Coplay: Pictures with Santa will be held Dec. 16 at gazebo

Pictures with Santa will take place 9 a.m.-noon Dec. 16 in the gazebo at the borough’s Community Plaza.

Children ages 12 and under can have their picture taken with Santa free of charge. Parents are welcome to bring their own camera or cellphones. Pet are also welcome for pictures.

People are asked to bring a canned food item to be donated to Coplay Food Bank.

Children ages 12 and under will also be treated to a free breakfast at Samuel Owens, courtesy of Bill and Michelle Loy from 9 a.m. to noon.


The model railroad display at Coplay Borough Hall, 98 S. Fourth St., room 201, is ready for the holiday season.

The display features six trains on two operating HO-scale modular layouts built by the Explorer Scouts of Model Railroad Explorer Post 101. Lionel and American Flyer trains are on display, too.

You can see the display noon-4 p.m. Dec. 16, 17, 23, 30 and 31 and Jan. 6 and 7 or 6-9 p.m. Dec. 21 and 28 and Jan. 4.

Commitment to Family & Community will be hosting its monthly breakfast 8 a.m.-noon Dec. 17 at 165 Cherry St.
