Coplay police responded to these and other calls recently.

JAN. 8

A suspicious person walking in the 1100 block of Oak Street was reported.

A custody issue in the unit block of South Front Street brought police to the scene.

Packages were stolen from a porch in the unit block of South Second Street.

A parking complaint in the 200 block of Chestnut Street was received.

Police assisted the fire department with an alarm sounding in the unit block of North Front Street.

JAN. 9

Officers investigated a domestic dispute in the unit block of North Third Street.

Police performed a welfare check in the unit block of North Second Street.

Suspicious activity in the unit block of South Second Street was reported.

Officers were asked to check the welfare of an individual in the Coplay-Northampton Bridge area.

JAN. 10

A warning was issued during a vehicle stop in the 900 block of Chestnut Street.

Police found a black Kia with its lift gate open in the 800 block of Catherine Drive.

A vehicle lockout in the 100 block of North Eighth Street was reported.

Officers assisted North Catasauqua police with a possible DUI in the area of Third and Cypress streets.

JAN. 11

Garage burglaries were reported in the 100 and 200 blocks of South Sixth Street.

Suspicious activity in the unit and 200 blocks of South Seventh Street was reported.

Parking complaints in the unit block of both North and South Fourth streets were received.

A family matter had officers on scene in the unit block of South Front Street.

A suspicious vehicle was stopped in the unit block of South Seventh Street.

JAN. 12

A sink hole in the area of South Second and Hokendauqua streets was reported.

The department responded to a carbon monoxide alarm in the unit block of North Fourth Street.

Parking complaints in the 100 blocks of South Third, Center and South Second streets and the 400 block of Coplay Street were received.

Officers assisted Palmer Township police in the unit block of Saylor Drive.

A disturbance in the unit block of North Second Street was investigated.

Police assisted a citizen in the unit block of South Fourth Street with a parking issue.

JAN. 13

A road hazard in the area of South Sixth and Hokendauqua streets was investigated.

A disturbance involving at least six people in the 1000 block of Barbara Drive brought police to the scene.

Officers responded to a motor vehicle accident at South Sixth and Coplay streets.

In the 1000 block of Barbara Drive, police assisted with a civil matter.

The department investigated a disturbance in the unit block of North Seventh Street.

Police performed protection-from-abuse service in the 1000 block of Barbara Drive.

JAN. 14

A report of someone knocking on a window was investigated in the 100 block of South Eighth Street.

Officers assisted North Catasauqua police with a vehicle stop and a wanted person in the 1300 block of Newport Avenue in Northampton.

The department offered assistance to Roseto police with a wanted person in the 300 block of Schreiber Avenue.
