Raymond C. Spangler Jr.
Raymond C. Spangler Jr., 90, of Whitehall, died May 8, 2018, at Fellowship Manor. He was the husband of the late Anna (Kostiw) Spangler.
Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late Raymond C. Sr. and Esther (Atherholt) Spangler.
He was in the U.S. Navy during both World War II and the Korean conflict.
He was retired, after 21 years, from Stroh Brewery. He worked previously at Bethlehem Steel and the Lehigh Valley Dairy.
He was a member of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Northampton, and was a longtime pierogi volunteer.
He is survived by a daughter, Carol and her husband Peter Fetchko; a son, Darryl and his wife Mary; a granddaughter, Nicole Fetchko; two brothers, Ernest and his wife Lauree and Leroy and his wife Lola; two sisters, Geraldine and her husband Joseph Domitrovits and Betty Humanik; a sister-in-law, Alverta Spangler; a brother-in-law, Wallace Felsing; nieces; and nephews.
He was predeceased by five sisters, Ruth, Lillian, Alverta, Dorothy and Marion; and a brother, Samuel.
