Elementary school: Sheckler has Think First event

Wednesday, June 6, 2018 by The Press in School

A Think First end-of-the-year assembly will be held for Sheckler Elementary School students this week. Students who kept positive behavior for the second half of the year will be recognized, as will those who kept positive behavior for the entire school year.

Congratulations to all students on “thinking first” and staying on a green card the entire school year by keeping positive behavior. Always remember, continue to Think First! Well done, Sheckler!

Students in grades 1-4 will continue to have early dismissals today, June 7, and tomorrow, June 8. Students will be dismissed noon, with kindergarten on a modified schedule.

Students in morning kindergarten will have class from 8:50 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., and afternoon kindergarten students will have class 11:40 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

June 8 is the last day of school for students.

If your child will be not be at school for the last day, stop by the Sheckler office to pick up his or her report card over summer break. The office does not mail report cards home.

***

Remember to have your child check the lost-and-found bin for any items he or she may have misplaced throughout the school year.

I would like to wish Sheckler fourth-grade students all the best on their journey to Catasauqua Middle School in August. May your future years be full of many new educational adventures.

Congratulations!

Best wishes to all the Sheckler teachers who will be retiring this year. Over the years, you have made a difference in the lives of many students, and for that, we thank you. Know that you will be missed.

Happy retirement!
