Catasauqua: Concert is set for July 6 at Catty park

Tuesday, July 3, 2018 by The Press in Columns

The Catasauqua Park Amphitheater, 501 American St., presents That Being Said 7-10 p.m. July 6.

Come on out with your lawn chairs, blankets and refreshments for a fun music-filled evening.

Catasauqua will be having the annual pub crawl 5-11 p.m. July 7.

Biery House Tavern, 8 Race St., will be joining the other pubs in town. Beer, wine, sangria, food and entertainment are on the menu.

Parking is at the Deily Coal Yard, 5 Union St.

Visit the Catasauqua pub crawl Facebook page for more information.

Catasauqua Garden Club will hold its next meeting 1 p.m. July 11 at Slovak Center Social Club, 1233 Fifth St., North Catasauqua.

Mike Balk, a Pennsylvania Master Gardener, will tell the group how compost can keep plants cool and save water so you can protect your garden from these hot, dry spells we have already been experiencing. He will show how to make your own compost, save money and recycle.

Artistic design and horticultural items should be in place early, so the meeting can start on time.
