Donald W. Davis
Lt. Col. Retired Donald W. Davis, 73, of Fogelsville, died June 19, 2018, at St. Luke’s Hospital-Anderson campus. He was the husband of Constance “Connie” (Gartner) Davis for 43 years.
Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Edwin H. and Emily W. (Schaefer) Davis.
A graduate of Lehigh University, he received a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering in 1966 and his MBA in 1973.
He was the president and owner of StorCon Systems from 1986 until the present.
A lieutenant colonel retired serving with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and specializing in military intelligence, he was a past commander of the Honorary First Defenders.
He was a member of the Zeigel United Church of Christ, Breinigsville, where he served on consistory as a deacon and treasurer for many years.
He served his community as a former planning commissioner and supervisor of Weisenberg Township.
A member of the Weisenberg Lowhill Historical Society, he also was a member of the Allentown West Rotary Club and Porter Lodge No. 284 F&AM, North Catasauqua.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Chad W. and his wife Allison of Fogelsville; two granddaughters, Hallie and Emory; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Ruth Mucha and Shirley Schaertel.
