Northampton: Come on out to Community Days!

Community Days is underway! Hours are 6-10 p.m. Thursday and Friday, noon-11 p.m. Saturday and noon-4 p.m. Sunday.

This annual event, sponsored by Northampton Exchange Club, will continue through July 15 at Municipal Park, Smith Lane and Laubach Avenue.


Northampton Area Historical Society will hold an open house 1-4 p.m. July 15 at the Siegfried Railroad Station, 21st Street.


Northampton Assembly of God will host the Jimmy J. Millikin musical and evangelistic family of Claremore, Okla., for special services July 15-17 at the church, 3449 Cherryville Road, and July 18-20 at 26th Street Playground.

Services will be held 10:45 a.m. and 6 p.m. July 15 and 7 p.m. July 16 and 17 at the church.

The services will continue 7 p.m. July 18-20 in a tent set up at the 26th Street Playground.

Evangelist Jimmy Millikin and his wife, Shauna, minister through inspirational combinations of gospel songs and instrumentals. Shauna plays the piano as they sing, and Jimmy plays saxophone solos.

Assembly of God Pastor Daniel E. Lundmark invites the public to attend.


Reminder: Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4714, Main Street and Laubach Avenue, will hold polka and button box entertainment 7:30 p.m. July 13.
