Preparation, positioning and planning often determine success or failure.

It’s those characteristics Valor The Advisor Network hope to embody as the firm embarked on a new venture during a grand opening in Easton.

Under sun-kissed skies and a gentle breeze, the company held a ribbon-cutting June 7, featuring Easton Mayor Salvatore Panto and former NFL player Matt Millen, who played with four separate Super Bowl championship teams.

Valor Insurance President Matthew Potter is a Lehigh Valley native and Lafayette College graduate.

Valor Wealth Management President Michael McGuire is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with more than two decades of working in the Lehigh Valley.

Company officials say they’ll stand out in the crowded financial services industry by marshaling the resources of their network of independent companies.

“We recognize that there are many financial and other service professionals out there,” said Jennifer Thompson, the company’s operations manager. “But they are almost always working with their specific field exclusively in their view.”

This is where the preparation comes in, according to Thompson.

“In this increasing complex marketplace, clients demand a more sophisticated advisor that is capable of addressing multiple needs,” she noted. “… We started The Valor Advisor Network to meet the diverse needs of our clients with advisors who are expert in their specific field.”

Being ready to succeed is a third of the battle, but Valor officials say they are better positioned to accomplish it than many of their competitors.

“While most other service professional will provide a referral to someone in another field, those connected with The Valor Advisor Network will work in concert with a service professional in other field to make sure the client’s various needs are not only met, but coordinated and optimized,” Thompson said.

The network includes Valor Insurance, Valor Wealth Management and independent law firms, Thompson said.

These independent providers converge to address the full scope of a clients’ needs, she noted.

“They all network together around our shared clients to provide them with a holistic service offering to meet all of their insurance, wealth management and legal needs,” she explained.

Valor’s planning is the final spoke in what companh officials maintain will be their success wheel.

“Many of our clients have received insurance, wealth management or legal services from other entities and have to coordinate, understand and implement these services themselves without anyone advising them on how they impact one another,” Thompson said of Valor. “Our clients love when they can meet with a team of Valor advisors working in concert with one another that can do the hard work of synergizing the clients’ need for them.”

Short-term Valor has plans to continue expansion, “constantly seeking to add top quality advisors to our network.”

That includes branching out into new fields, Thompson noted.

“Each of the individual companies continue to grow at a record pace, so we expect to expand our ability to service a broader geographic area,” she said.
