James D. Craig Iobst
James D. Craig Iobst, 73, of Whitehall, died Aug. 21, 2018, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Pamela (Watts) Iobst for 43 years.
Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late F. Murray Iobst and Normile (Stoddard) Iobst.
He was a 1962 graduate of Whitehall High School and attended Muhlenburg College.
He was a self-employed musician and educator. As an educator, he taught music both through private instruction and, most recently, a long tenure at Community Music School Lehigh Valley.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a sister, Stacy and her husband Terry Walsh; two sons, Kroeger and his wife Fayeann (Crawford) and Kurt and his partner Melissa Melton; and two grandsons, Maxfield and Preston Iobst.
He was predeceased by a brother, Jason Iobst.
A celebration of life will be held 1 p.m. Sept. 16 at Community Music School, 1544 Hamilton St., Allentown, 18102.
