Girls cross country wins two

The Catasauqua boys cross country team started its season last week with a win and four losses. Their win came against Salisbury 29-30.

The Catty girls collected two wins, beating Pen Argyl 15-50 and Salisbury 15-50, but lost to Bangor 27-29, Wilson 25-30 and Southern Lehigh 21-40.

Lexi Rushatz led the girls team with a third place finish with a time of 21:19.74 while teammate Sebrina Kemmerer was eighth in 23:23.92. Montana Muller cracked the top-20 taking 17th with a time of 25:57.12.

For the boys, Sebastian Henry was the team’s top finisher taking 24th with a time of 20:57.20. Bradshaw Henning was 28th in 21:08.94.
