Roughies Report: Winter sports paperwork due
All winter sports paperwork should be returned to the Catasauqua High School athletic office as soon as possible. Students will not be allowed to obtain a physical unless the necessary paperwork has been returned to the athletic office.
The first official day of the winter sports season is Nov. 16.
Catasauqua High School Drama Club will present “The Trial of Ebenezer Scrooge” — a twist to “A Christmas Carol” — 7 p.m. Nov. 16 and 17 and 2 p.m. Nov. 18 in the auditorium of CHS, 2500 W. Bullshead Road, Northampton.
Here’s a little information about the performance: “A year after his miraculous transformation, Ebenezer Scrooge is back to his old ways and is suing Jacob Marley and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future for breaking and entering, kidnapping, slander, pain and suffering, attempted murder and the intentional infliction of emotional distress.
“Judge Stanchfield Pearson gives his verdict: Jacob Marley and the Spirits of Christmas — guilty! Rothschild desperately pleads with the judge not to terminate the spirits of Christmas. It’s a death sentence. But in another staggering turn of events, Scrooge makes the spirits an offer.”
All seating is general admission, and the ticket cost is $8. All ticket sales are final (no refunds or exchanges). Everyone, regardless of age, requires a ticket to attend a performance.
