North Catasauqua: Concert honoring vets set for Nov. 18

The WE SING Community Chorus, along with local community church choirs, invites residents to a Salute to Our Vets concert 4 p.m. Nov. 18. The concert will be at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 417 Howertown Road, Catasauqua.

Come enjoy an afternoon musical tribute to military veterans. A freewill offering will benefit veterans. A reception follows the concert in the fellowship hall.

The annual North Catasauqua tree lighting will be 6 p.m. Nov. 25 at North Catasauqua William J. Albert Memorial Park, 701 Grove St.

Meet Santa and Mrs. Claus and donate a nonperishable food or toiletry item to have your picture taken with the famous duo.

Sing carols with the Catasauqua High School band, dance with the reindeer, judge the gingerbread house creations by CHS students and treat yourself to some free hot chocolate, coffee and cookies.

The event is hosted by the North Catasauqua Recreation Committee.

The rain date is 6 p.m. Nov. 26.


Seniors who reside in North Catasauqua and Catasauqua or who belong to a church or organization in North Catasauqua or Catasauqua are invited to the 30th annual holiday meal 11:45 a.m. Dec. 1 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 417 Howertown Road, Catasauqua.

The meal, hosted by Catasauqua Lions Club, is free, but reservations are encouraged. Register at any of the churches or borough halls or call Joe at 610-264-4130 and leave a message if no one answers.
