Coplay police responded to these and other calls recently.

FEB. 18

A written warning was issued in the area of North Second and Keefer streets for a vehicle having an inoperable turn signal and not having a bumper.

Police issued a written warning for an expired vehicle inspection in the 200 block of South Second Street.

A parking complaint in the unit block of North Front Street was addressed.

FEB. 19

A driver was cited for a stop sign violation in the 100 block of South Second Street.

The department assisted with a vehicle repossession in the 1100 block of Center Street.

A parking complaint in the unit block of North Second Street was addressed.

FEB. 20

Officers investigated a disturbance in the 100 block of Cherry Street.

A power outage in the 1000 block of Catherine Drive brought police to the scene.

FEB. 21

An adult female was arrested in the unit block of South Second Street when police were called to the scene for a domestic assault.

Police investigated a reported computer virus scam in the 200 block of Chestnut Street.

A lost cat in the unit block of Strawberry Alley was reported.

The department addressed a report of a disabled vehicle at the intersection of Chestnut and North Second streets.

A dog running loose in the 800 block of Oak Street was reunited with its owner.

Officers responded to a report of identity theft in the 100 block of South Fourth Street.

A disturbance in the 300 block of Coplay Street was investigated.

A parking complaint in the 100 block of South Fourth Street was addressed.

FEB. 22

A theft in the 100 block of North Ninth Street was investigated.

Police assisted the fire department with a carbon monoxide investigation in the unit block of Magna Drive.

A suspicious vehicle in the 200 block of Chestnut Street was reported.

Parking complaints on North Second and South Third streets were handled.

FEB. 23

Police responded to a home invasion armed robbery in the unit block of South Third Street. It was reported two black males armed with handguns entered a home and robbed the individuals inside. One male was described as 5 feet, 7 inches wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, sneakers and a red mask. The other was described as 6 feet, 1 inch, approximately 170 pounds wearing blue jeans, a purple mask and Curry basketball sneakers. No one was injured. Police are investigating and asking anyone who may have observed anyone fitting the description to contact the Coplay Police Department at 610-262-2288.

MARCH 1

Police investigated a complaint of threats made in the 400 block of Chestnut Street.

A security check was performed in the unit block of South Second Street.

Officers assisted North Catasauqua police with serving warrants on a male in the 1000 block of Fourth Street.

A noise complaint brought police to the unit block of South Second Street.

The department assisted North Catasauqua police with a vehicle stop at South Second and Lehigh streets.

A driver was cited for failing to stop at a stop sign in the 100 block of South Second Street.

Police were on the scene of a domestic dispute in the unit block of South Second Street.

Officers provided an emergency protection-from-abuse order in the unit block of South Second Street.

A road hazard in the area of North Second and Chestnut streets was addressed.

A protection-from-abuse complaint in the 100 block of South Front Street brought police to the scene.

A written warning was issued for a vehicle registration issue in the 200 block of Second Street.
