Catasauqua: Group schedules May 10 event

The Petals and Pearls event, sponsored by Historic Catasauqua Preservation Association, will take place 7 p.m. May 10 at the Biery House, 8 Race St.

Make a pair of pearl earrings and a small flower arrangement to take home.

The event is BYOB, but light refreshments will be available.

There will be a reservation fee at the door.

Parking is at the Deily Coal Yard, 5 Union St.

There will be a meet the candidates night, sponsored by Catasauqua Main Streets, 6:30-8 p.m. May 16 at the Catasauqua Municipal Complex, 90 Bridge St.

Questions from the committee and some from the audience will be asked of the candidates running for Catasauqua Borough Council.

Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, 604 Fourth St., will be having a taco and baked potato bar with all the trimmings 4-7 p.m. May 18.

Blondies cupcakes will be the featured dessert.

Tickets are encouraged, but the event will be no charge.

All of the donations will go to the Public Library of Catasauqua.
