Borough resident recognized

Catasauqua Borough Council members paused a moment during their meeting Aug. 5 to honor Martha Capwell for her service to the borough.

The occasion was honoring her 60-year history with Catasauqua Garden Club.

While the honor is richly deserved, Capwell is also a lifelong resident of Catasauqua with a strong list of accomplishments and services to the community.

Her dedication to the borough continues with her extended family, who has served the borough with their documented interest in the historical background of Catasauqua Borough and sacrifice to keeping historical venues, like the George Taylor House, relevant to today’s society.

It is the dedication and loyalty of Capwell and her extended family that make Catasauqua a sought-after place to for residents to live.
