The Catty girls soccer team got the fall season started on Friday morning with a game against Northern Lehigh.

Catty led 2-0 at halftime before the Bulldogs came back a bit. Haleigh Toto started the scoring with a goal on an assist by Katie Weiss. Kaylee Weidaw made it 2-0 for the Roughs when she scored on a pass from Brielle Davies. Toto would assist Weidaw on the team’s final goal.

Madison Hicks made 13 saves for Catty to get the win.

Head coach Chris Hain was especially pleased by the defense.

“Catty defense played outstanding, offense played well, we missed some early chances,” said Hain. “It was a good game by Maddy Warren, Olivia Emery, Maddy Harth, Katie Weiss, Emma Hawk, Brielle Davies, Taylor Hicks, Sydney Gebhardt and Aidan Gerhard, and including [the scorers and Hicks].”

Catty battled Allen the next day but fell 2-1. The game was tied in the first half at 1-1 and at the end of regulation before Allen’s Arianna Watkins scored the game-winner. Watkins scored both goals in the day with Tatyannah Wiggins adding an assist.

Catty’s goal came from Lexi Rushatz.

The girls picked up another win over Pen Argyl, 3-2 on Tuesday.

Maddy Hicks had a big game in net making 27 saves to help preserve the victory.
