Mary R. Hock
Mary R. Hock, 89, of Lehigh Township, died Sept. 3, 2019, in her home. She was the wife of the late John S. Hock Sr.
Born in Rockdale, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Theresa (Weber) Horwith.
She was a 1947 graduate of Parkland High School.
She was a seamstress/machine operator at various garment mills in the Lehigh Township area. She was a seamstress and sewed church choir robes and wedding dresses.
She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Berlinsville, where she sang on the choir for many years.
She managed the Lehigh Township Auxiliary Athletic Association mobile refreshment stand.
She is survived by two daughters, Diane M. and her husband David Turner of Walnutport and Stephanie Kline of Palmerton; four sons, Dennis J. and his wife Darlene and Robert G. and his wife Lori, all of Walnutport, Thomas C. and his wife Valerie of Allentown and John S. Jr. and his wife Sandra of New Tripoli; 10 grandchildren, Kristi, Julie, Stacey, Amber, Adrienne, Jimmy, Shelly, Mikey, Jenna and Kimberly; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Theresa Beckel of Egypt; nieces; and nephews.
She was predeceased by five sisters, Rose, Anna, Helen, Stella and Dorothy; and seven brothers, Charles, Frank, Edward, Joseph, John, Louis and William.
