Coplay police responded to these and other calls recently.

JAN. 6

Police performed a welfare check in the 100 block of South Front Street.

A suspicious vehicle in the 100 block of North Second Street was reported.

JAN. 7

Officers performed a security check in the unit block of South Fourth Street.

A written warning was issued during a vehicle stop in the 200 block of North Second Street.

A small white dog was reported to be running loose in the 1000 block of Catherine Drive. It was returned to the owner.

A lost wallet at Giant Food Store, 202 Chestnut St., was reported.

Police conducted a welfare check in the 100 block of North Ninth Street.

The department addressed a parking complaint in the 200 block of Center Street.

Officers investigated a residential alarm in the unit block of South Fourth Street.

Police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area of the Coplay Parkway.

The department assisted citizens in the unit blocks of North and South Fourth streets.

A parking complaint in the unit block of South Second Street was handled.

JAN. 11

A juvenile was cited for underage drinking during a vehicle stop on Chestnut Street.

A rabid raccoon in the area of the Coplay Cement Kilns was reported.

Police assisted a citizen in the 100 block of South Fourth Street.

Officers assisted Whitehall police with a vehicle stop in the 3200 block of Lehigh Street.

JAN. 12

A suspicious person on the Ironton Rail Trail was investigated.

The department performed a welfare check in the area of North Ruch and Chestnut streets.

An unattended dog in a vehicle at Giant was reported to police.

JAN. 13

An adult male was arrested for trespassing after attempting to remove a washing machine from a yard in the unit block of North Fourth Street, according to police.

Officers investigated a report of animal neglect in the 100 block of North Front Street.

The department responded to a citizen assist request in the unit block of North Fourth Street.

Assistance was offered to Bethlehem police in the 1100 block of Oak Street.

A hit-and-run accident in the unit block of North Sixth Street brought police to the scene.

Officers assisted a citizen in the 100 block of South Eighth Street.

The department performed a welfare check in the 1100 block of Tapler Drive.

Police assisted a citizen in the 100 block of Chestnut Street.

Suspicious activity in the 1100 block of Oak Street was reported.

A parking complaint in the unit block of North Fourth Street was addressed.

Police were on the scene of a domestic dispute in the 200 block of Coplay Street.

A lost cat, with tiger stripes, in the 100 block of North Front Street was reported.

Officers responded to a report of a coyote in the 800 block of Catherine Drive.

The department responded to a fire call in the unit block of South Second Street. The call was due to a faulty smoke detector.

JAN. 18

A domestic dispute in the unit block of North Second Street brought police to the scene.

Officers assisted with a domestic matter in the unit block of North Third Street.

A suspicious vehicle in the area of Coplay Parkway was reported.

The department responded to a report of an unattended dog in a vehicle in the unit block of North Second Street.

Parking complaints on Magna and Barbara drives were addressed.
