Jewish Federation hires funds director

The Jewish Federation of the Lehigh Valley has announced the hiring of James J. Mueth as Director of Planned Giving and Endowments.

Mueth comes to the Lehigh Valley from Kansas City where he served as vice president and philanthropic relationship manager at Bank of America for the past 15 years.

WDIY chief retiring, search underway for replacement

The Board of Directors of WDIY has announced that its Executive Director, Dr. Bill Dautremont-Smith, will retire by the end of the summer.

The Board is engaged in a national search to fill the position.

LV home sales up 3.1 percent

The Lehigh Valley Association of Realtors (LVAR) released data on the April housing market indicating that the local housing market is continuing to recover.

Pending sales were up 39.3 percent to 769 while the number of closed sales increased 3.1 percent to 492 units.

The average sales price was up 2.5 percent to $193,349 with 45 percent of the homes sold priced at $150,000 and below.

A new parking deck at St. Luke's Allentown Campus will offer patients, visitors and employees easy access to the hospital's services.
