Oldies dance coming up at Tri-Boro

An oldies dance benefiting the Lehigh Valley Chorus, will be held Saturday, Oct. 18, 7-10 p.m., at Tri-Boro Sportsmen Club, West 21st St.

It's sure to be fun for whole family.

The New Dimensions will provide live vocal entertainment. Food and a cash bar will be available.

To purchase tickets, call 610-730-3434 or stop by the Tri-Boro club. Tickets will be available in advance and at the door, while they last.

Registration for programs to open

Fall children's programs at the Northampton Area Public Library, 1615 Laubach Ave., will be held Oct. 28 through Dec. 11.

Wonderful Ones, for children ages 10 months to 2 years, will be held Thursdays, 10-10:45 a.m.

Toddler Storytime, for 2-year-olds, will be held Tuesdays, 11-11:20 a.m., or Wednesdays, 10-10:20 a.m.

Creative Preschoolers Storytime, for ages 3 and up, will be held Tuesdays, 10-10:45 a.m., or Wednesdays, 10:30-11:15 a.m.

Family Toddler/Preschool Storytime will be held Tuesday evenings, 6:30-7 p.m.

The Siegfried Railroad Station, home of the Northampton Area Historical Society, will be open to visitors on Sunday, Sept. 21, 1-4 p.m. The station is located on West 21st Street.

Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1904 Main St., will hold its annual basket social and flea market Friday, Sept. 12, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and 5-8 p.m., and Saturday, Sept. 13, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., in the church basement.

Library to host yard sale

The Friends of Northampton Area Public Library will be holding a community yard sale on Saturday, Sept. 6, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., on the library grounds, 1615 Laubach Ave.

Vendors can rent a 10 x 10 space. A limited amount of tables are also available to rent. Tarps and/or blankets are allowed.

Food and drinks will be available for purchase.

Friendly Fifties to celebrate 23rd

The St. John's Friendly Fifties group will hold its 23rd anniversary meeting 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8, in the St. John's social hall, 1343 Newport Ave.

Lunch will be served and Mike Skweir will provide the entertainment.

The rosary will be prayed before the meeting at 11:30 a.m. in the church.
