Community Days are coming

Mark your calendar for the 33rd annual Community Days Fair, set for July 10-13 at Municipal Park, Smith Lane and Laubach Avenue.

Hours are Wednesday through Friday, 6-10 p.m., and Saturday, 6-11 p.m.

The event, sponsored by the Northampton Exchange Club, features rides, games, food and entertainment.

Registration is under way for Kingdom Rocks Vacation Bible School 9 a.m.-noon July 22-26 at the Gospel Chapel, 2022 Main St.

Registration is under way for Kingdom Rocks Vacation Bible School, to be held July 22-26. 9 a.m.-noon, at the Gospel Chapel, 2022 Main St.

The Siegfried Railroad Station, home of the Northampton Area Historical Society, willl be open to visitors 1-4 p.m. Sunday, June 16.

The station is located on West 21st Street (Route 329) in Northampton.

Yard sales are this Saturday

The Quota Club will be holding a community yard sale 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, June 8, at Canal Park to raise funds for its community service projects.

The rain date is June 9.

Spaces are still available, so call 610-440-2171 to reserve your spot.

The Northampton Area Historical Society's yard sale, also set for June 8, will be held at Siegfried Station. The Northampton Area Food Bank's yard sale will also be held that day at the Northampton Fire Department. Those two events are scheduled rain or shine.

Paw Prints set for this Sunday

The annual Paw Prints on the Canal will be held 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, June 2, at Canal Park.

It will be held rain or shine.

The event is sponsored by the borough and benefits the Northampton Police Department's K-9 force.

St. John's Friendly Fifties will meet 1 p.m. Monday, June 10, in the church's social hall, 1343 Newport Ave.

Donna Parsons, a Reba McIntyre impersonator, will entertain.

The Northampton Area Public Library and the Friends of NAPL will be holding the annual Family Fun Day 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, June 1.

Assumption BVM to serve last breakfast of season on Sunday

Assumption BVM Roman Catholic Church, East 22nd Street and Washington Avenue, will host a breakfast Sunday, May 19, 8:30 a.m.-noon.

This will be the last breakfast until October.

There is a cost.

Good Shepherd to host A Night of the Arts May 16

Good Shepherd Catholic School will present A Night of the Arts 7 p.m. Thursday, May 16, in the school gymnasium.

The event, which is open to the public, will feature art exhibits by students in grades K-8, including recent award-winning works in various mediums.

Music will be provided by the school choir and band. In addition, the Good Shepherd Catholic School drama program will entertain with selections from its 2012-13 theater productions.

The Drama Club of Good Shepherd Catholic School will present "High School Musical, Jr." 7 p.m. Friday, April 26, and Saturday, April 27.

A matinee performance will be presented 2 p.m. Sunday, April 28.

Student performers are students in fourth through eighth grades. The performances will be held in the school gymnasium.

Cut-athon set for April 28

The fifth annual Make-A-Wish cut-athon will be held Sunday, April 28, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., at Shear Impressions, 1774 Main St.

Stylists will be offering discounts on haircuts, manicures and brow waxing.

A Chinese auction, food and more will be featured with proceeds benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Donations are welcome.
