Library to host book discussion with author

The Northampton Area Public Library, 1615 Laubach Ave., will host a book discussion with local author Paul Acampora, writer of "I Kill the Mockingbird," 6 p.m. tonight, Nov. 6.

A Toys for Tots kickoff event will be held Saturday, Nov. 8, at the Northampton Memorial Community Center, 1601 Laubach Ave.

Those planning to attend are asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy.

Trick or treat in borough tomorrow

The borough will hold trick-or-trick night tomorrow, Friday, Oct. 31, 6-8 p.m.

Residents are encouraged to turn on their porch lights during that time.

The Northampton Area Food Bank will hold a coin toss on Saturday, Nov. 1, 8 a.m.-3 p.m., on Held Drive.

Volunteers are needed to help with the event. If available, call 610-262-8030 or email volunteer@northamptonareafoodbank.org.

Breakfast set for Oct. 26

Assumption BVM Church will hold a breakfast Sunday, Oct. 26, 8:30 a.m.-noon, in the social hall, East 22nd Street and Washington Avenue.

The menu includes French toast; pancakes; scrambled eggs or omelet; ham, sausage or bacon; hash browns; toast; juice, coffee and tea.

There is a cost. Tickets will be sold at the door.
