Year-end reminders, thoughts

All student absentee notes should be turned into the main office by the last day of school, tomorrow. If a note has not been received, the absence will be marked as unexcused/illegal.

Students should also check the lost and found before leaving for summer vacation.

The last day for gaggle email is Friday, June 13. It will be discontinued for the summer. PowerSchool Student and parent access will also be discontinued for summer months after June 13.

Any new Catasauqua High School Varsity "C" Club member who did not have the opportunity to get fitted for and order their Varsity "C" Club jacket should see Mr. Snyder in the guidance office.

Any student interested in taking driver's education classes this summer or next fall should stop by the guidance office, main office or see Mr. Gerhard for additional information.

The Senior Awards Assembly were held Wednesday morning, followed by the Senior Class Picnic at the North Catasauqua Park.

Calling all athletes to Varsity "C" Club

Any current Catasauqua High School Varsity "C" Club member who did not attend the recent Varsity "C" Club meeting should please see Mr. Snyder to sign up for the club and to sign up to work events for next year. Additionally, any ninth- to 11th-grade student athlete who is not a member of the Varsity "C" Club and did not attend the meeting and who wants to join, should also see Mr. Snyder in the guidance office. Students must have at least three athletic letters to join the Varsity "C" Club or on track to earn their third varsity letter next year.

Driver education forum set for May 19

Any Catasauqua High School student interested in taking driver's education classes over the summer or in the fall should stop by the guidance office or main office or see Mr. Gerhard for additional information.

A parent forum night will be held on May 19, from 6–7 p.m. in Room B-125 at the high school. The evening will allow parents the opportunity to meet the instructor, ask questions and review the curriculum that is used. Valuable information will be provided on how parents can help improve their child's experience during the 65 hours of behind-the-wheel practice driving.

Lehigh U offers 'materials camp'

Students in 10th or 11th grade who are interested in math, science or engineering who might be interested in attending the American Society for Metals Materials Camp at Lehigh University over the summer should see Mrs. Roseman in the guidance office for more information and an application.

The camp runs July 7-11. It is free, and the deadline to apply is April 4.

Any girl ages 16-20 who is interested in entering the Allentown Fair Queen Contest should see Mrs. Roseman in the guidance office for a registration form.

The deadline to apply is Friday, June 13.

Rough Rider ornaments to support yearbook effort

The CHS yearbook staff is selling a limited edition handcrafted wood Rough Rider ornament for $6.50, including sales tax.

Due to the recent school closures because of inclement weather, Thursday Jan. 2, and Friday, Jan. 3, will now be regular school days. Students and staff should report to school on Thursday, Jan. 2, and Friday, Jan. 3.

Bring your brightest smile

Catasauqua High School students and staff will have their pictures taken Sept. 5 by Life Touch Portrait Studios. More detailed information, including times and portrait package information, will be distributed to students.

The senior panoramic photo is scheduled to be taken 8 a.m. Friday, Sept. 6.
