PUBLIC NOTICE Notice is hereby given that the Lower Macungie Township Board of Commissioners will consider for possible adoption an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE OF LOWER MACUNGIE TOWNSHIP AMENDING VARIOUS PARTS OF CHAPTER 27, ZONING ORDINANCE, OF THE LOWER MACUNGIE TOWNSHIP CODE OF ORDINANCES ELIMINATING WAREHOUSE, WHOLESALE, STORAGE OR DISTRIBUTION USE AS A USE PERMITTED BY CONDITION IN THE (ORLIC) OFFICE, RESEARCH, LIGHT INDUSTRIAL CENTER DISTRICT AND THE (I) INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT; PROVIDING FOR THE SEVERABILITY OF PARTS OF THIS ORDINANCE DEEMED TO BE INVALID; REPEALING ORDINANCES, RESOLUTIONS, OR PARTS THEREOF IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE." that proposes to amend the Lower Macungie Township Zoning Ordinance by eliminating: (i) warehouse, wholesale, storage or distribution use as a conditional use in the ORLIC zoning district; and (ii) warehouse, wholesale, storage or distribution use containing not more than 500,000 square feet floor area as a conditional use in the I zoning district. The ordinance will also provide for the severability of parts deemed invalid, a general repealer and an effective date. The Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on May 18, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at the Township Building, 3400 Brookside Road, Macungie, PA, for purpose of taking public comment and input concerning adoption of the ordinance described above. The Board of Commissioners will consider adoption of the ordinance at a public meeting commencing immediately after the aforementioned public hearing. Copies of the full text of the ordinance are available to any interested party for inspection and/or copying at the Township Building, 3400 Brookside Road, Macungie, PA, or for inspection during normal business hours at the offices of this newspaper, East Penn Press, 1633 N. 26th Street, Allentown, PA 18104, and the Lehigh County Department of Law, Room 440, 17 S. 7th Street, Allentown, PA 18101. All interested parties are invited to attend the public hearing and meeting. The Lower Macungie Township Municipal Building is accessible to the physically handicapped.
