Ruth A. West, of Whitehall and formerly of Bangor, died Nov. 30, 2019, in her home. She was the wife of George O. West Jr. for 62 years.

Born in Pen Argyl, she was a daughter of the late Arthur A. and Elizabeth (Rowlands) Bray.

She was a 1952 graduate of Bangor High School. She was a 1955 graduate of St. Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing.

She attended First Presbyterian Church of Hokendauqua.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Sharon West and Donna White and her husband Bernie; and a grandson, Staff Sgt. Gregory Reamer.

Carol A. Strohe (Wunderler), 54, of Bethlehem, died Nov. 30, 2019, at her residence, surrounded by her family.

She was the wife of David Faust.

She was a daughter of Carl Jr. and Hilda (Kollar) Wunderler.

She graduated from Northampton High School, where she excelled in athletics. She held high school shot put and discus records for 29 and 30 years, respectively. She was dominant on the basketball and volleyball courts and the softball field at Northampton Community College. She earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from East Stroudsburg University.

Christopher Heath Winans, 48, of Coplay, died Nov. 30, 2019, at home. He was the husband of Mary Ann (Buschta) Winans for 13 years.

Born in Naples, Italy, he was a son of George and Bonnie (Boyer) Winans.

He graduated from Bangor High School.

He was a driver for UPS for 14 years.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by four children, Pohe, Taye, Cali and Tessa; three siblings, Barrett, Joshua, Kathleen; and extended family.

Louis J. Klement, 87, of Coplay, died Nov. 26, 2019, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth “Betty” T. Klement for 51 years.

He was a son of the late Alois and Johanna (Groller) Klement.

He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Allentown.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran and served in the Korean War.

He worked at Mack Trucks for more than 35 years until he retired in 1993.

He was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Stiles.

She was a cashier for the Whitehall-Coplay School District for 25 years.

She was a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi, Allentown.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Stephen and Margaret J. (Hendricks) Kratzer Jr.

He was a 1966 graduate of Louis E. Dieruff High School.

He was a teletype specialist in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era.

He was first a clerk, and then in production, for Mack Trucks in Allentown and Macungie where he worked for 30 years until retiring.

He was a life member of the Oakmont Tennis Club, Allentown.

She earned an associate degree.

She earlier lived in Yonkers; Dallas, Texas; Denver, Colo.; and New York City.

She was a beautician and was co-owner of Peter’s Beauty Salon, Yonkers. She worked at Stylette Beauty Salon, South Yonkers.

She attended St. John Fisher Roman Catholic Church, North Catasauqua.

Ruth E. Gogel, 93, formerly of Walnutport, died Nov. 10, 2019. She was the wife of the late Lawrence A. Gogel and later the companion and caregiver of the late Merritt Bossard.

Born in Lockport, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Grace (Hartley) Green.

She was a 1944 graduate of Slatington High School.

After graduation, she inspected artillery shells at Bethlehem Steel until the end of the World War II. She and her husband ran Gogel’s Auto Parts at various locations until they retired. She was a notary public for many years.

Jeffrey E. Wandler, 48, of Moore Township, died Nov. 17, 2019, at home.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of Edward Sr. and the late Elizabeth (Suranofsky) Wandler.

He worked at Alpha Packaging, Bethlehem, for many years.

He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Bath.

In addition to his father, he is survived by three children, Brock, Gage and Shelby; three brothers, Edward Jr. and his wife Jill, Michael and his wife Beth and Steven; nieces; and nephews.
