Richard J. Hower, 86, of South Whitehall Township, died Dec. 6, 2012, at home. He was the husband of the late Bernadine H. (Vrablec) Hower and the late Virginia S. (Sweeney) Kunkle Hower.

Born in Coplay, he was a son of the late Augustus and Esther (Rieker) Hower.

He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War.

He was a photo finisher for the former K-Photo, Allentown, and the former Guardian Photo, Catasauqua, retiring in 1988.

He was a member of St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, Allentown.

Mary A. (Christman) Lisetski

Mary A. (Christman) Lisetski, 97, died Dec. 8, 2012, at Westminster Village, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Michael Lisetski for 69 years.

Born in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late Purie and Lillie (Smith) Christman.

She was a 1932 graduate of Northampton High School, where she played basketball.

She was a women's basketball official for high school and collegiate games for 38 years.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Northampton, where she was a senior choir member and an assistant Sunday school teacher.

Edward "Geetz" C. Groller, 82, of Bethlehem, died Dec. 8, 2012, at Saucon Valley Manor, Hellertown. He was the husband of Elaine P. (Schuler) Groller of Bethlehem.

Born in Catasauqua, he was a son of the late Edward and Eva (Dopsovic) Groller.

He worked for 42 years. Upon retiring, he was the business agent for Local IW 36.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, Edward, Randall, Kevin and his wife Tracy and Kurt and his wife Linaka; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by two sisters.

She was born in Baltimore, Md.

She was of the Lutheran faith.

She is survived by two daughters, Christina A. Peugh, with whom she resided, and Micelle M. Peugh of Honaker, Va.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Charles Jacobs of Berkeley Springs, W.V., and Buddy Jacobs of Cumberland, Md.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Bonnie Fellers.

Isabelle (Kiss) Ehler, 98, of Whitehall, died Dec. 7, 2012, at Fellowship Community, Whitehall Township. She was the wife of the late Frank Ehler Jr.

Born in Cementon, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Irma Kiss.

Before retiring in 1962, she was a silk weaver at the former Frank and Stessel Silk Company, Cementon.

She was a member of Assumption B.V.M. Catholic Church, Northampton.

She is survived by a sister, Margaret Cyprus of Thousand Oaks. Calif.; and nephews.

Arrangements were made by Schisler Funeral Home Inc., Northampton.

Mary "Mrs. Kay" Hannah Kowaleski, 93, of Catasauqua, died Dec. 3, 2012, at Sacred Heart Assisted Living, Center Valley. She was the wife of the late Leo E. Kowaleski.

Born in Summit Hill, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Marie (McLean) Evans.

She was a graduate of East Stroudsburg State College and Penn State College. She earned a master's degree in education in counseling from Lehigh University.

Born in Stiles, he was a son of the late John and Hedwig (Frisch) Klement.

He was a World War II veteran and was in the Burma theatre of operations.

He was a machinist for the former Fuller company, Catasauqua, and later, a plumber for the former Wesley Hoffman Plumbing and Heating, Stiles.

He was a member of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Coplay.

He was a lifetime member of the Catholic War Veterans Post #454, Northampton.

He was predeceased by four brothers, Frank, John, Joseph and Freddy.

Born in Nazareth, he was a son of the late Frank A. and Mary Dlugos.

He was the former owner of Catasauqua Nursery. He was previously employed by the former Russell Moyer's Butcher Shop, Northampton; the former Two Guys department store, Whitehall; the former Zimmerman's Market of Allentown and Kidd Brothers Dairy Farm, Macungie.

He was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, Whitehall.
